About Us
"PICHA POA" environment through the lens - where art meets advocacy.
As the Director of both SPARTAN PHOTOGRAPHY KENYA AND PICHA POA FOUNDATION, Dennis combines his passion for storytelling with a commitment to social justice. Through his lens, he addresses entrenched societal practices, exposing injustices and raising awareness about critical issues such as racism, child labor, corruption, and environmental degradation.
At Spartan Photography Kenya, led by the visionary Dennis Otieno Onyango, we believe that photography and videography transcend art—they are powerful tools for social advocacy and cohesion. Our conceptual photography house is committed to capturing the essence of life, shedding light on pressing societal issues, and sharing educational and inspiring stories that promote positive change.
Born and raised in Dandora, home to East Africa’s largest landfill and countless untold human stories, Dennis draws deep inspiration from the resilience of his community. His work reflects the urgency of climate action and the transformative power of hope.
With every frame, Spartan Photography Kenya strives to create images that not only evoke emotions but also inspire dialogue, challenge norms, and drive action. Through a shared vision of advocacy and creativity, we aim to leave a lasting impact on individuals and society.
